Shasthyo Seba

Bringing doctors to the villages that need them most.

A volunteer doctor examining a patient at a Shasthyo Seba camp

About this program

In remote char and rural areas, the nearest doctor can be a day’s travel away. Shasthyo Seba organises free health camps with volunteer doctors, supplies essential medicines and helps patients who need further treatment.

What we provide

Free health camps

General check-ups, maternal and child health and screening for common conditions.

Essential medicines

Prescribed medicines handed out free at the camp.

Treatment support

Help with tests, surgery or hospital costs for verified patients who cannot afford them.

Who can receive support

  • Health camps are open to everyone in the community, free of charge.
  • Treatment support is for low-income patients with a doctor’s prescription or report.

How it works

  1. 1 Camps are announced locally and listed on our events page.
  2. 2 Patients are seen by volunteer doctors and receive medicines on the spot.
  3. 3 Patients needing more care can apply for treatment support and are followed up.
